In Case of an Accident Let's face it, in the unfortunate event of an accident, you may not always be thinking clearly. To help you get through this difficult time, we have listed some suggestions below for you to follow. You may want to print this information and keep it in your car's glove box. We hope you never have to use it! 1. Remain at the scene if possible and get medical attention for any injured party. 2. Report your accident to the police immediately. The police must be notified within 24 hours. This includes Hit & Run accidents, parking lot accidents and vandalism. 3. Call your Dieppe Insurance broker as soon as possible, at (519) 974-8111. We recommend that you fill out the Accident Report Form and Claims Kit attached. 4. Important: Do not comment on the liability of the accident. Do not make any statements regarding the accident to anyone except the Police or your Insurance Broker. 5. If you carry Loss of Use coverage (OPCF 20), you will need to rent a car or a taxi (keep any receipts). Check your policy or speak to your Broker to confirm you have this coverage.
